Siep Wijsenbeek is director of FIN, the associations of Dutch charitable funds and corporate foundations. FIN is the collective voice for Dutch foundations in the dialogue with the government, politicians and the general public. For its 350 active members FIN is a network organisation and a platform for knowledge exchange and cooperation. FIN stimulates quality and effectiveness in the sector, amongst others with the FIN Code of good governance.
In January 2018 Siep Wijsenbeek was appointed as director of FIN, before that he was director of the Leiden University Fund and researcher at the Erasmus Centre for Strategic Philanthropy. Siep studied Law at Leiden University and was a banker for nearly 20 years at ABN AMRO, NIBC and Deutsche Bank. After a post graduate course in Philanthropy at VU University, Amsterdam, he switched from the financial to the philanthropic sector.
